ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Minister for Kashmir Affairs Ali Amin Gandapur has said that the government has served a legal notice to the Chief of Jamiat-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) Maulana Fazlur Rehman as the latter is trying to damage Kashmir cause and using the religion for his vested interests.

While addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Monday, the minister said that if Maulana Fazlur Rehman fails to reply the notice within 15 days, a legal action will be taken against him.

Ali Amin Gandapur said that the JUI-F Chief is doing the politics of blackmailing from day one. He said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman does not have the right to float the idea of “accepting Israel” as Israel is the usurper of the rights of Palestinians.

The minister said that the enemies of Pakistan are using Maulana Fazlur Rehman to achieve their vested interests against Pakistan and Kashmir issue, and we have sufficient evidence in this regard. He urged the parents to prevent their children studying in seminaries being used in political activities.

Talking about the march being carried out in Azad Kashmir against Indian brutalities in occupied Kashmir, the minister for Kashmir affairs said that most of the participants belong to the divided families and their emotions are high which is just but the Pakistani government does not want to violate international law.
