ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that Pakistan is awaiting the arrival of Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton.

In a meeting with the British High Commissioner Thomas Drew held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad on Thursday, Qureshi said that Pakistanis hold a special place for the Royal Couple in their hearts.

The foreign minister said that special arrangements would be made upon the arrival of Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton. He said that the Royal Couple’s visit will further enhance the long-term relationship between Pakistan and UK.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that a rousing welcome was accorded to Prince Charles and Duchess of Cornwall when they visited Pakistan in 2006.

Speaking about the Indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IOJ&K), the foreign minister said that India has held eight million innocent Kashmiris hostage since August 5 through continuous curfew. He said that there are gross human rights violations in IOJ&K.

The foreign minister said that the World Community including the United Kingdom will have to play a proactive role for the immediate removal of unjustified curfew in the Occupied Kashmir, and to save millions of Kashmiris from the Indian tyranny.
