ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the State comes first than politics, and they will never let it be weakened.
In a meeting with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Babar Awan who met him in Islamabad on Monday to discuss Constitutional & legal issues as well as overall political situation of the Country, the prime minister said that all are equal before law and they must adhere to it.
The prime minister said that they would further strengthen the institutions as the Country’s stability is linked to them. He said that their efforts for the stability of the economy are yielding fruits now.
Imran Khan further said that the Kartarpur Corridor would prove to be the perfect example of Interfaith Harmony. He said that they are ready to welcome all Sikh pilgrims from across the World.
Babar Awan said that economic improvement was the real reason behind the Azadi March Sit-in by the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F)-led Joint Opposition. He said that the sit-in was staged in violation of the Supreme Court’s judgments. He said that the conditional consent was accorded for Azadi March, not for sit-in.
The PTI leader also congratulated the prime minister on the timely completion of Kartarpur Corridor.
