ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Health Dr Zafar Mirza on Wednesday inaugurated the upgraded Maternity Care Hospital (MCH Centre) in Aabpara in Islamabad, which is being transformed into a model health city to set an example for the provinces and regions across the Country to emulate.
Now the Maternity Care Hospital Aabpara is a 60 bedded facility and all delivery cases will be performed here relieving the Polyclinic Hospital’s burden of such cases. From two to three deliveries per day, the upgraded facility will now perform 50 to 100 deliveries.
The MCH Centre has facilities including Operation Theater, Labour Rooms, X-ray and Ultrasound. There is a nursery for newborn babies. Doctors will be available round the clock in the wards.
There is a spacious sitting area for attendants of the patients. Top quality patient-care facilities are being provided at the upgraded Maternity Care Hospital Aabpara.
In his remarks on the occasion, Dr Zadar Mirza said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, we are fully committed and there is high resolve to bring revolutionary changes in health sector. He said that 16 Basic Health Unit in Islamabad are being upgraded along with three Rural Health Centre.
Dr Zafar Mirza said that this will be a model of complete transformation of patient-care and services, a manifestation of our resolve to improve the health and wellbeing of our people.
