More than 75‚000 troops have already been deployed across the country to assist the civil administration for general election

Pakistan Army installed security cameras at necessary points for general election and it would also use armoured personnel carrier (APC) at most sensitive areas if required on Saturday.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) here‚ sniffing dogs of army would also be used for security.

He said more than 75‚000 troops have already been deployed across the country to assist the civil administration for general election.

Army troops also remained deployed on protection duties on five printing presses since April 19‚ he said and added that 650 tons of ballot papers were transported by army troops up to the districts and further to the polling stations.

He said as many as 50 Army helicopters flew for 347 hours for transportation of ballot papers
