ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: President Dr. Arif Alvi has emphasized the need for adopting Innovative Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) as they can greatly contribute to improving the performance and efficiency of government organizations.

While launching the website of Ministry of Maritime Affairs in Islamabad on Monday, the president said that the 4th Industrial Revolution such as Internet of Things, Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence has changed the pattern of life because these technologies have not only increased communication among the people but their productivity as well.

Innovative Information and Communication Technologies - President Dr. Arif Alvi has emphasized the need for adopting Innovative Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) as they can greatly contribute to improving the performance and efficiency of government organizations. While launching the website of Ministry of Maritime Affairs in Islamabad on Monday, the president said that the 4th Industrial Revolution such as Internet of Things, Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence has changed the pattern of life because these technologies have not only increased communication among the people but their productivity as well. The president mentioned that social media tools were changing rapidly and public offices needed to ensure easy access to public government offices through effective use of these tools. Earlier, the Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Syed Ali Haider Zaidi briefed the President about the role and achievements of his ministry. While congratulating the Minister for launching the website, the president said that the world had switched over to paperless environment and the government organizations, in Pakistan, also needed to adopt the culture of E-office.

Earlier, the Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Syed Ali Haider Zaidi briefed the President about the role and achievements of his ministry.
