KARACHI, Pakistan: The Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives & Chairman National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) Asad Umar has lauded the role played by provinces in controlling the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

While addressing the meeting of the National Command and Operation Center at Chief Minister’s House in Karachi on Saturday, Asad Umar said that the Coronavirus pandemic in the Country can be controlled with joint efforts of all the provinces.

While addressing the meeting of National Command and operation Center at Chief Minister's House in Karachi on Saturday, Asad Umar said that the Coronavirus pandemic in the Country can be controlled with joint efforts of all the provinces. The meeting was hosted by the Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, and participated by the NCOC National Coordinator Lt. General Hamood-uz-Zaman and the Chief Secretary Sindh. Asad Umar said that holding meetings of the National Command and Operation Center in provinces is aimed at further improving the performances. The minister said that the federal government in cooperation with provinces is working and shaping guidelines to contain the spread of Coronavirus. In his remarks on the occasion, the Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that selective lockdown is being carried out in hot spot areas against spread of Coronavirus in the provinces and two separate hospitals for treatment of corona patients have been established in Karachi. Murad Ali Shah said that the sale and purchase of sacrificial animals in the streets have been banned in Sindh.
