ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced the Health Card Facility for the personnel of Islamabad police.

In his address at a Ceremony of Police Passing-out Parade at Police Lines Headquarters in Islamabad on Wednesday, the prime minister said that the Health Card holders can get the medical facility at any hospital up to Rs one million.

The prime minister also hinted to bring salaries of Islamabad police personnel at par with the Punjab police.

Imran Khan said that police have a pivotal role in the uplift of the Country by creating a sense of security among its citizens.

Emphasizing on peace and security as prerequisites to progress and prosperity, he said that a peaceful environment builds the trust of investors and they make investments.

The premier said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa changed police, and the people there now own and give due respect to the police.

Imran Khan said that he wants to see a similar changed police in the entire Country. He said that police shout treat every common man as a VIP.

Moreover, he said that the government has secured a major achievement on economic front by turning the Country’s current account deficit in a surplus for the fifth consecutive month after 17 years.

The prime minister said that the government has been pursuing the policy controlling expenditures in view of the Country’s debt. He said that the expenses of the Prime Minister’s House have been reduced by 60 percent.

Similarly, he said that the expenditures of the federal government have also been decreased.
