ISLAMABAD: Authorities has decided to suspend mobile phone services in Rawalpindi and Islamabad for four hours today as a security measure on the arrival of Chinese premier in Pakistan.
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) issued a notification in this regard, stating that the cellular phone services in the twin cities will remain suspended from 10 am to 2 pm.
Chinese PM Li Keqiang is arriving in Pakistan today on a two-day official visit. He will be given warm welcome in Islamabad.
It is the first visit of Li Keqiang to Pakistan after becoming the prime minister of China, providing him an opportunity to him to meet new Pakistani leadership and discuss ways to further strengthen deep rooted bilateral ties.
