ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has decided to open up the registration of citizens of over 40 years for the COVID-19 vaccination program.

“In today’s NCOC meeting decided to open up registration of 40 plus age citizens starting tomorrow,” the Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives Asad Umar said in a Twitter statement on Monday.

Asad Umar told that in its meeting, the NCOC also decided to allow walk-in vaccination of all registered citizens of over 50 years of age.

“If you are 40 years or older please register and encourage others to register,” Asad Umar wrote.

Meanwhile, three planes of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) carrying a consignment of one million doses of COVID-19 vaccine from China have arrived.

Another consignment of two million doses of vaccine will also be transported from China by the PIA on Thursday.
