ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The national COVID-19 positivity ratio stood at 10.20% on April 26 as out of 43,981 tests performed in the last 24 hours, 4,487 returned positive, the latest statistics issued by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) showed.

In the last 24 hours, 142 COVID-19 patients succumbed to the infection across the Country.

Among the Cities, Mardan recorded the highest positivity ratio at 35.4% on April 26 followed by Hyderabad at 30.4%.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Capital Peshawar recorded 22.6% COVID-19 positivity ratio, Swat 18.8%, Lahore 17.4%, Muzaffarabad 17.0%, Bahawalpur 15.5%, Quetta 12.3%, Abbottabad 11.8%, Multan 11.5%, Karachi 10.8%, and Faisalabad and Islamabad 8.8% each.

With more Coronavirus Cases pouring in, now the total number of COVID-19 infections registered so far in the Country since the beginning has reached 804,939.

Likewise, the COVID-19 death toll has grown to 17,329 while a total of 699,816 patients have recovered now from the virus.

As of April 27, 87,794 COVID-19 patients are under treatment across Pakistan.

Meanwhile, the registration of 40 plus age citizens for COVID-19 vaccination has begun in the Country.
