ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The senior Hurriyat leader Mushaal Hussein Mullick has strongly condemned the arrest of human rights defender Khurram Parvez and the brutal killing of three Kashmiri youth after dragging them out of a car by vehicle-borne Indian forces in Rambag area of Srinagar city.

In a statement on Thursday, Mushaal said that state-terrorism and barbarity are at their peak in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), as youth are being killed on roads and streets.

Mushaal, who is the Chairperson Peace and Culture Organisation and a wife of incarcerated Kashmiri Hurriyat leader Muhammad Yasin Malik, said that fascist Indian forces unleashed the fresh wave of terrorism to terrified and frightened Kashmiri people by creating fear and panic in the region so as to silence the just dissenting voices.

Mushaal Mullick said that the arrest of Khurram Parvez speaks volume of how anti-terror laws are being misused to criminalize human rights work and stifle dissent in India.

Mushaal said that thousands of innocent Kashmiris and senor Hurriyat leaders including Yasin Malik, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Aaysia Andrabi, and Muhammad Shahidul Islam continue to languish in jails in Indian jails on frivolous grounds, demanding the release of all prisoners without any further delay.

The Hurriyat leader said that the Indian army is martyring the youth by firing wherever they want because they are given the task to carry out genocide of the Kashmiri people.

Mushaal Mullick questioned the world powers and human rights organizations’ criminal silence over the continuous massacre and genocide of unarmed Kashmiri people.

The Hurriyat leader lamented that India is committing war crimes and violating all international laws but ironically the world powers and so-called human rights bodies have been looking at the inhuman acts just like a silent spectator, which raises serious questions about their credibility and impartiality.

The Chairperson Peace and Culture Organisation urged that UN envoys should visit the occupied valley and should meet the heirs of martyrs even if the Indian authorities denied entry to see the world’s worst war crimes committed by the occupation forces on their naked eyes.

“The fascist Narendra Modi-led government is massacring the Kashmiris under its nefarious plan to change the demography of the valley,” she added.

The Hurriyat leader urged that the international organizations and UN bodies should break the long silence on Indian atrocities and come out of the sweet slumber and take steps on a war-footing basis to settle the decades-long Kashmir dispute as per the aspirations and wishes of people of the valley.
