ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The joint opposition alliance has tabled the no trust motion at the National Assembly Secretariat in Islamabad on Tuesday to oust Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) Khawaja Saad Rafique, Marriyum Aurangzeb, Ayaz Sadiq, Rana Sanaullah, Khawaja Saad Rafique and Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) Naveed Qamar and Shazia Marri submitted the no-trust motion and requisition for the session.

The motion was tabled under Clause (1) of Article 95 of the Constitution and signed by more than 100 lawmakers.

No Trust Motion will fail: PM Imran Khan

In his response to the no confidence motion submitted by the opposition, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the opposition is in a panic mode and it’s their last resort against the incumbent government.

The prime minister said that the opposition will miserably fail and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will stay in power till 2028.

Earlier addressing an event held at Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) in Rawalpindi in connection with International Women’s Day, Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed confidence that all designs and attempts by the gang of corrupt politicians against the government would meet a failure.

The prime minister said that a skipper in a match is always ready to counter the attack of his opponent.

“No matter what planning such corrupt do, I am ready to thwart their attempts,” the prime minister said.
