The United Nations has launched a new worldwide petition calling for urgent action to ensure the right of every student to safely attend school. The launch came in the wake of an attack that killed 14 students at girls’ college of Quetta in Pakistan due to suicide bomb blast in van.
Pakistani student activist Malala Yousufzai is the first signatory of the petition launched with the backing of the United Nations Special Envoy for Education Gordon Brown.
