PoliticsECP urged to notify PTI’s reserved MPAs forthwith

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Central Secretary General Asad Umar has made it clear that the unconstitutional government of Punjab would not be accepted come what may.

Talking to media outside the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in Islamabad on Wednesday along with the PTI Central Senior Vice President Fawad Chaudhry and Dr. Shireen Mazari, he said that the Lahore High Court (LHC) has already directed the ECP to notify the members on Punjab Assembly’s reserved seats, which the ECP should notify forthwith.

Asad Umar said that the ECP was asked to de-notify the government of Hamza Shahbaz, as its days were numbered. He said that the unconstitutional government was running in Punjab by Hamza Shahbaz, as his government would not survive even if fresh election was held.

People were being misled on 8300 that they have to vote for the general election, he said, adding that the ECP was silent on Yasmeen Rashid’s statement.

Asad Umar urged that the ECP should take immediate actions regarding complaints in 20 constituencies of Punjab, adding that the PTI would not accept the unconstitutional government.

Speaking on the occasion, Fawad Chaudhry said that the political stability in the Country can only be restored through holding fresh, free and fair elections, as the fake Chief Minister would not bring stability.

Fawad Chaudhry said that the decisions of ECP did not in line with the laws, as the commission was even not trusting the biggest political parties of the country. He said that the Constitution was suspended and dictatorship was imposed in the country.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Shireen Mazari demanded that the Chief Election Commission (CEC) and Secretary Election Commission should resign immediately.

Dr. Shireen Mazari demanded that the Supreme Court should also take notice of it so as to ensure immediate issuance of notification regarding the reserved seats.
