The Adelaide Oval will host the second Semi Final of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 between England and India on Thursday.

The injury-stricken England might miss Mark Wood and Dawid Malan in their playing XI, and Chris Jordan and Phil Salt are their likely replacements.

In the Group Stage, England stood at second place with seven points. They suffered a blow after Ireland registered an upset against them.

The winner of the second semi final will face Pakistan at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on November 13.

Pakistan turned out to be the first team to qualify for the Final of T20 World Cup 2022 after they defeated New Zealand on Wednesday by seven wickets.

New Zealand won the toss and decided to bat first against Pakistan at Sydney.

Shaheen Shah Afridi struck early after Finn Allen fell leg before wicket to him in the very first over. His opening partner Devon Conway was run out by Shadab Khan’s direct throw on 21.

Glenn Phillips was also caught and bowled to Mohammad Nawaz after scoring just six runs.

Kane Williamson and Daryl Mitchell built a 68 runs partnership off 50 balls before the former was bowled by Shaheen Shah Afridi on his individual score of 46.

Daryl Mitchell formed another 35 runs partnership with James Neesham and took the total to 152 for 4. Both scored unbeaten 53 and 16 runs respectively.

To reach a target of 153 runs in 20 overs, Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam provided Pakistan an opening stand of 105 runs in 12.4 overs. Babar Azam was caught at long-on off Trent Boult on 53.

Mohammad Rizwan also lost his wicket to Trent Boult on 57 whereas Mohammad Haris scored 30 runs before Mitchell Santner got him out at short fine leg.

Pakistan reached the target in 19.1 overs with seven wickets remaining.
