Mishal Bukhari who was a renowned anchorperson and journalist and was amongst the best feature writers of Pakistan died at the age of 38 in Lahore.
She was fighting against cancer for the last two years. Senior journalists consider Mishal Bukhari as one of the best among female anchorpersons. She was known for her respectful conduct towards seniors and polite personality for her teams.

She had extensive experience spreading over 15 years in print and electronic media.

Her last organization was PTV when she went off-screen due to her health issues. She rose to fame by covering critical live transmissions including the Lahore FIA building bomb blast. She was a journalist before joining the television screen and was nominated for the “Gender in journalism awards 2004”.
Her article “Recreational activities for women in Pakistan” got international attention. She was a graduate of the mass communication Department at the University of Punjab. She was critical of the PMLN and PPP and a fan of former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
