SocialCNG pole prices likely to go up on July 1

ISLAMABAD: The CNG pole prices are likely to increase on July 1 as 39 paisas per kilogram increment will take place in Region-1 and 46 paisas in Region-2 after one percent addition in GST after the approval of budget.

It is expected that the CNG prices will mount up on first day of July, after approval of Finance Bill-2013-14 from the National Assembly and Senate.

One percent increase in GST will mount CNG prices by 39 paisas in Region-1 comprising KPK, Potohar and Balochistan.

CNG price will mount up by 46 paisas, after addition of one percent increase in GST, in Region-2 comprising Punjab and Sindh.

After addition of one percent in GST, the CNG price will go up to Rs. 77.54 in Region-1 and Rs. 64.44 in Region-2.

It is worth mentioning here that the government was collecting additional 9 percent GST from the CNG sector and the Supreme Court has cancelled that.
