SRI LANKA: Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani has gone to Colombo on a three-day official visit to Sri Lanka.
He was received at the airport by his Sri Lankan counterpart General Jagath Jayasuriya.
General Kayani will discuss matters of professional interest with Secretary Defence Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Sri Lankan top military officials.
The visit of Pakistan’s Army Chief will provide both sides an opportunity to review ongoing cooperation and collaboration‚ and to discuss ways to further broaden and deepen it.
