AL AIN, UAE: The 34th Edition of the International Biology Olympiad was held in the United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) City of Al Ain from July 03-11, 2023, in which the Saudi team won four awards.
As many as 320 Students from 80 Countries participated in the 2023 International Biology Olympiad held annually for 10 days in July, targeting Secondary School Students worldwide in the field of biology.
The Saudi Students – who received four medals in the Competition – included Yazan Al-Maghribi, Nawaf Al-Mutair, Raed Talbah, and Ali Al-Khalifa.
Yazan Al-Maghribi won the silver medal while bronze medals were Nawaf Al-Mutair, Raed Talbah and Ali Al-Khalifa.

The 34th Edition of the International Biology Olympiad was hosted by the UAE and organized by the Ministry of Education in partnership with the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU).
Every year, a Country is chosen to host the Competition and is asked to prepare theoretical and practical questions to test students’ skills in solving biology-related questions.
