ISLAMABAD: Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said the country saved from the threat of default as a result of successful negotiations with International Monetary Fund (IMF).

He said while talking to the ambassadors from member countries of European Union here.

Ishaq Dar said circular debt is causing damage to the country; therefore, the government is intent to abolish it within a month.

The government, he noted, has prepared a roadmap for the country’s economic growth, according to which, the rate of economic growth will ramped up from five percent.

On this occasion, he urged upon the ambassadors of the European countries to play their role to aggrandize investment and trade volume in Pakistan.
