JAIPUR: An Indian Air Force’s MiG-21 fighter aircraft crashed in Rajasthan’s Uttarlai area on Monday, Indian media reported. The pilot was killed in the unfortunate incident.

The aircraft was on a routine sortie when it crashed at 9.30 AM at Uttarlai, Defence Spokesperson SD Goswami told a news agency.

A court of inquiry has been constituted to ascertain the cause of the incident, the spokesman said.

Last month also, a MiG-21 Bison fighter jet of the IAF had crashed in Rajasthan’s Barmer district
