QUETTA: A main transmission line was damaged by miscreants in Balochistan at night, resulting in suspension of electricity to 17 districts of the Balochistan.
Officials said four electricity towers were attacked in Bibi Nani area near Machh town in Balochistan’s Bolan district at around 2:30 am, plunging the province into darkness.
They said one of the four towers was completely destroyed while three partially damaged as 220 KV transmission line was affected.
The power supply to Quetta was also suspended, but restored after four hours.
Quetta Electricity Supply Company (QESCO) was making efforts to repair the affected pylons as power supply is yet to be restored.
