The deceased married three months ago. His body has torture and electric shock marks. But, the Ranges officials said there was no such mark as he was handed into police custody.

His body was brought to Jinnah Hospital from Sachal Police Station where scores of his relatives gathered on Saturday and protested outside the police station, calling for registration of FIR against Rangers officials.

The case was filed on the complaint of Bilal’s father Yaseen under section 302.

Sources said condition of the accused collapsed during his custody and he died. Deputy Inspector General (DIG) East instituted an inquiry into the death.

Spokesman of the Rangers said there was not a single torture mark on Bilal’s body while he was being handed into police custody; but, the other accused said they, along with Bilal, were extremely tortured at Rangers headquarters.
