ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Tuesday filed an application in the Supreme Court of Pakistan seeking a change in the schedule of Presidential election and requested to hold it on July 30.
The application was moved in light of the decision of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for not deferring the earlier date fixed for August 6.
The federal government had requested the ECP to re-schedule election date as a number of parliamentarians who have to cast their votes have proceeded to Saudi Arabia for Umra besides observing Aitkaf and they will come back after Eid.
