NEW DELHI: Indian Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt’s curative petition seeking review of his conviction in 1993 Bombay blasts case, Indian media reported.

The 53-year-old actor, who has been convicted in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case for illegal possession of weapons, surrendered before a special court in Mumbai on May 16.

Dutt is currently lodged in Pune’s Yerawada Jail.

The Supreme Court, in March, upheld his conviction in the case but reduced a trial court sentence of six years to five years.

The actor, now, has to serve 42 months in jail as he has already served 18 months 20 years ago, part of it at the Yerawada prison.
