NEW YORK: The United Nations said it is ready to assist Pakistan in dealing with the situation arising out of the monsoon rains and floods.
UN and its humanitarian partners would provide food‚ basic household items‚ water‚ sanitation and emergency health support to the flood victims.
A Spokesman of the UN Office for Coordination of Humanitarians Affairs said in New York that they are reviewing the situation and stand ready to assist if required.
