KASUR: Dozens of villages have been inundated and ready crops in District Kasur of Punjab have been ruined after India released additional 58000 cusecs’ water flood into River Satluj.

According to reports, thousands of residents in flood hit villages have been afflicted by fear and harassment after rise of water level in River Satluj. Local villagers are facing great difficulties in moving from towards safe places from food-hit areas for taking shelter.

Kasur District Administration has installed camps near flood-hit areas to tackle any possible emergency in the area.

If flow carries over 70,000 cusecs of water then it causes low level of flood but flow of 58,000 cusecs of water does not create any emergency situation, informed the district administration officials.
