ISLAMABAD: Sikandar stable, to remain in ICU for two more weeks: DoctorCondition of Muhammad Sikandar, the gunman who held Islamabad hostage in a dramatic standoff with police Thursday night, is improving gradually in Islamabad’s PIMS hospital.

The spokesman of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Dr. Waseem Khawaja has said that the gunman Sikandar who sustained bullet wounds during police operation in federal capital on Thursday will remain in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for another few days.

He said that his condition is improving and he can now talk.

The spokesman said that police will record his statement after a team of doctors grant permission. He said that security of the culprit has further been tightened and nobody is allowed to meet him.
