LONDON: Muttahaida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain on Tuesday called for setting up new provinces for equitable distribution of national resources and to remove sense of deprivation among different ethnic groups.
In a statement issued from London, the MQM chief raised the demand for new provinces while addressing a joint session of the coordination committees in London and Karachi simultaneously.
The MQM chief said that All Parties Conference (APC) should be called for the formation of new administrative units.
Hussain said that creation of new provinces in the country would pave the way for stronger and prosperous Pakistan, adding that the government and decision makers should fulfill their responsibilities in this regard.
