ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani held a meeting in Islamabad on Wednesday and discussed the implementation of the All Parties Conference (APC) resolutions and overall security situation in the country.
At the conclusion of the APC held in Islamabad on Monday, the army and intelligence chiefs as well as leaders of all major political parties adopted a consensus resolution to overcome the national security crisis besetting Pakistan, stating that negotiation with the militants should be pursued as their first option to counter terrorism.
