QUETTA: A strike by doctors in government hospitals across Balochistan entered fifth day on Tuesday, causing problems to patients visiting hospitals.

Doctors went on a strike on Thursday against the abduction of prominent heart specialist Dr Abdul Manaf Tareen who was abducted by unknown gunmen as he was en route back to his residence from his private hospital at Pishin Stop in Quetta a day ago. The abductors took him along with his vehicle to an unknown place.

The Medic associated with Young Doctors Association (Balochistan Chapter) refused to perform their duties in Quetta civil hospital, Bolan Medical Complex hospital, Fatima Jinnah hospital and other hospitals across the restive province, leafing patients in suffering.
