ISLAMABAD: An appeal filed to reopen cases against former President Asif Ali Zardari has been rejected by the Swiss authorities because it was not filed on time, Law Secretary Raza Khan said.

On June 2013, the Pakistani government had filed an appeal against the decision to close cases which was made on 4 February 2013, the law secretary said.

The law secretary further said that an appeal against the decision had to be filed within 10 days and their counsel had apprised them of the decision.
