ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Thursday issued its verdict in the National Police Foundation (NPF) land scam case and directed the authorities concerned to initiate criminal proceedings against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) former lawmaker in the National Assembly Anjum Aqeel.
The apex court in its verdict declared that the agreement between the NPF and Anjum Aqeel was based on corruption. Moreover, the court ordered Anjum Aqeel to pay the prices of 126 canals and 88 plots of land.
It further ordered to confiscate the property of former PML-N lawmaker if he did not pay.
