ISLAMABAD: The federal government has removed obstacles in talks with the Taliban while formal talks are expected to start in the next two weeks, informed sources said on Friday.
The sources said that one of the obstacles faced by the government was the presence of several Taliban factions.
They said that a team consisting of government officials, politicians, Ulema, intellectuals and experts on military affairs is being finalised in order to hold dialogues with the Taliban.
Moreover, they said that both sides will observe an unannounced ceasefire during the talks.
