ISLAMABAD: Yaum-i-Umar was observed across the Muslim world on Wednesday with religious fervour to mark the anniversary of the martyrdom of the second Khalifa-i-Rashida, Hazrat Umar Farooq (RA).
Various religious and literary organizations had chalked out programmes to highlight the achievements and personality of the second caliph who introduced basic and innovative administrative reforms to establish a truly welfare Islamic state.
