AfghanistanPTI upholds stance of halting NATO supply

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to uphold stance of halting NATO supply in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province but not finalized date for blockage of supply lines to NATO troops in Afghanistan.

The decision was taken at a PTI core committee meeting which met with Imran Khan in the chair to mull over halting the NATO supply going through Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province where the PTI currently is ruling.

Imran khan will inform the National Assembly during its next session about his party’s point of view over NATO supply blockage.

The PTI chief had warned on November 4 during his speech on the floor of the National Assembly that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government would block the NATO supplies after November 20 if the federal government failed to pursue the US to end drone strikes.

His statement had come after a US drone strike killed Pakistani Taliban chief Hakimullah Mehsud in the restive North Waziristan tribal region which Imran claimed was meant to sabotage peace talks.
