Eight more including four Hazaras killed in Balochistan

QUETTA: Eight more people including four members of Hazara community were gunned down on Tuesday as target killings continued unabated in various parts of the provincial capital, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported on 16 October, 2012.

According to officials, some unidentified armed men attacked a scrap shop on the Sirki Road, one of the busiest commercial areas of Quetta. The attackers barged into the shop and sprayed bullets, killing all the four people belonging to the Hazara community, including two real brothers, on the spot.

Meanwhile, a volunteer of a polio team was shot dead by unidentified armed men on the Eastern Bypass one hour after the Sirki Road incident.

In another incident, a renowned eye specialist and head of Lyton Rehmatullah Benevolence Trust (LRBT) eye hospital Dr Saeed Ahmed Khan was kidnapped by unidentified armed men from the Saryab Road here on Tuesday night.

In Dera Murad Jamali, an assistant of a container was killed and driver sustained injuries when gunmen attacked a private container on the National highway near Nasirabad district on Tuesday. Likewise, unknown armed men shot dead a man in the Link Badini Cross area, within the Sariab Police’ limits.
