US to address Pakistan’s concerns: Olson

ISLAMABAD: US Ambassador to Pakistan Richard G. Olson said on Wednesday that the United States is conscious of Pakistan’s concerns and will address them.

A meeting was held between the federal minister for interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and the US ambassador in Islamabad on Wednesday, during which issues pertaining to bilateral relations particularly security situation in the region came under discussion.

During the meeting, the US ambassador said that his country is conscious of Pakistan’s concerns and will address them.

Olson said that Pakistan has an internationally recognized important role in the post-2014 scenario in the region. He emphasized the need for close Pak-US liaison to meet the emerging challenges for region.

On the occasion, the interior minister called for greater transparency in Pak-US relations. He said that Pakistani people must see the interests of their country being protected at every step.
