ISLAMABAD: First time in the history of Hangu, Khybar Pakhtun Khawa, Pakistan Army strikes Tal, Hangu and destroyed Taliban hideouts. According to initial reports, at least 8 members of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) have been killed in these air strike. Pakistan ary is using gunship helicopters for strikes. Hangu falls in settled areas.
Tall area of Hungu is very important for TTP strategically and in past a place of Afghan-Arab Mujahideen living place. There are reports that strikes have killed some foreigners including some members of Al-Qaeda.
