Islamabad: Coming back from abroad Maulana Sami ul Haq appreciates Nawaz Sharif for ceasefire. Addressing a press conference at Islamabad airport after his arrival from Saudi Arabia, he said that Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif both played well and bought peace after accepting ceasefire . He demanded that women and children who are in the custody of Pakistan army should be released without delay. He asked media to play its role positively and show both side of the picture. He hoped that Pakistan will be the castle of Islam soon. He said that TTP leadership has been demanding release of children and women who are under the custody of Pakistan Army. He said that TTP can provide list of such people anytime this list is demanded by the government.

Talking about F-8 Court Islamabad suicide attack, he said that TTP did not take this action and certain elements are trying to sabotage peace talks between government and TTP. He also indicated that he had some conversation with Saudi Arabian leadership. Chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Sami (JUI-S) is authorized spokesman of TTP as a part of TTP Peace Committee.

It may be mentioned that Pakistan Army on February 22, 2014 Pakistan Army turned down the allegations by Taliban that security forces have women and children in their custody. Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that accusations by Taliban on Pakistan Army are all baseless and in contrast with the facts. He added that the security forces have no women or children in their custody, nor have they ever detained any women or children. The ISPR Spokesperson told that the banned outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) intends to twist the facts through this propaganda against Pakistan Army and want to divert the attention of the people from its wicked acts.
