ISLAMABAD: The Taliban committee held a meeting with the federal minister for interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan in Islamabad on Saturday and briefed him about its meeting with the outlawed Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) shura in North Waziristan.
During the meeting, the interior minister assured the Taliban committee of cooperation for moving forward the peace process. He said that the government is making efforts sincerely for the success of dialogue process.
On the occasion, the Chief of the Taliban negotiation committee and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Sami (JUI-S) leader Maulana Samiul Haq said that he was optimistic that bilateral contacts would pave way for peace in the country.
