PakistanDelimitation in Karachi should be carried out after polls; says Memon

KARACHI: Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon has said that the task of delimitation in Karachi should be carried out after general elections in the country, a day after the Supreme Court assailed the Election Commission for not implementing the court’s orders on delimitation of Karachi constituencies, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported on Sunday.

“Since general elections are looming, therefore redrawing of electoral constituencies should not be carried out in hurry which is even practically possible without census in Karachi,” Memon spoke to reporters here.

Memon claimed that Pakistan Muslim League –(PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif was ineligible to contest elections as he had accepted money from agencies to form Islami Jamhori Ittehad (IJI) to stop Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) from winning the 1990 election.
