LONDON: Queen Elizabeth II has been admitted to the hospital in London after suffering from what seems to be symptoms of gastroenteritis, a Buckingham Palace’s spokesman said on Sunday.
The 86-year-old Queen had experienced symptoms of gastroenteritis and that her upcoming trip to Rome would be cancelled, the palace spokesman said in a statement.
The Queen is expected to stay at London’s King Edward VII Hospital for two days, the spokesman said.
“She has been taken to hospital as a precautionary measure,” said the spokesman.
