BANNU: Unknown gunmen riding on motorcycles opened fire on a female polio worker in Sukari area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bannu district on Monday, leaving her dead on the spot.
The sources said that the polio worker was leaving her home to start her duties with the anti-polio team when she was shot to death.
The attackers fled away from the scene after the incident, the sources said, adding that a case was registered at the Cantt Police Station.
