UNITED NATIONS: In order to punish North Korea for the nuclear test it conducted recently, the United States and China have given their consent for imposing new sanctions on North Korea, media reported.
According to reports, the decision was made on Monday at closed-door UN Security Council consultations. The diplomats spoke on condition of anonymity as the official announcement is yet to be made.
Russia`s UN envoy Vitaly Churkin told media on Monday that a resolution on North Korea might be approved in March.
