No chance for end of wheat crises in Gilgit Baltistan in next three months

Islamabad: There is no doubt the Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan has formed a committee to resolve the issue of Wheat crisis going on in Gilgit and Baltistan but this committee is not empowered to take decision and decision will be taken by Economic Coordination Committee (ECC)

Thousands of people are protesting in the region and waiting for subsidies wheat. A five member committee has been constituted in chairmanship of Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan. Other members of the committee include Bashir Ahmad Khan, Minister for Works, Gilgit-Baltistan, and three members of Gilgit-Baltistan Council i.e. Amjad Hussain advocate, Muhammad Ibrahim and Atta Ullah Shahab.

Committee will held its meeting on Thursday 24 April 2014. This committee would formulate recommendations which would be sent to Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) for final Approval. ECC in its next meeting will decide the fate of the case and ECC meeting is usually being held after every three months.
