ISLAMABAD/LAHORE: Justice Umar Ata Bandial took oath of office as a Supreme Court judge on Tuesday in a special ceremony held in Islamabad.
The Chief Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani administered him the oath to him in the ceremony which was attended by senior lawyers and honourable Supreme Court judges.
Justice Bandial had previously served as the Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court (LHC).
Khawaja Imtiaz takes oath as CJ LHC
Meanwhile, the new Chief Justice of the LHC Khawaja Imtiaz took oath of his office in Lahore on Tuesday.
The Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar administered him the oath in a ceremony which was attended by the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, judges of the LHC, and senior lawyers.
