ISLAMABAD: The Senate Standing Committee on Interior on Wednesday unanimously approved the Protection of Pakistan Amendment Bill.
A meeting of the Senate Standing Committee on Interior was held in Islamabad on Wednesday with Senator Talha Mahmood in the chair.
The federal minister for science and technology Zahid Hamid while briefing the committee said that the bill will remain in force for two years initially.
The minister said that very effort has been made in the bill to avoid misuse of authority such as the affected person could approach the High Court against the sentence of special court.
