ISLAMABAD: The outgoing Chief Justice of Pakistan Tassaduq Hussain Jillani on Friday emphasized the need for greater harmony amongst national institutions.
In his remarks while speaking at a full court reference held in his honor in Islamabad on Friday, Justice Jillani said that institutions should work within their constitutional ambit and not interfere in the administrative matters of each other.
All judges of the apex court including senior lawyers attended the full court reference held in the honor of Justice Jillani who will retire on Saturday (tomorrow) after a seven-month term as the country’s top judge.
On the occasion, the Chief Justice-designate Justice Nasirul Mulk paid tributes to the outgoing chief justice for his meritorious services to uphold the rule of law and dispensation of justice.
Justice Nasirul Mulk will take oath as the new Chief Justice of Pakistan on Sunday.
